4.5 Cattle Co. is a family owned and operated feed yard that specializes in custom feeding cattle. Our goal is to provide the greatest cattle feeding experience for our customers. We take the time to take great care of our cattle and maintain our facilities to the highest working capability. Our knowledge for almost 125 years has allowed us to grow our customer base and expand our operation in to two counties.
Our Facility
We are a combined 16,000 head facility with varying pen sizes to accommodate all customers. Pen maintenance is done daily to allow the best animal comfort to provide the best possible performance all year round. Our modern feeding programs and facilities allow us to have the ability to diversify rations to fit every animals needs. We are constantly making changes to our facilities to enhance our animal welfare.
Our Staff
With years of knowledge and experience, our personnel are continually trained to improve our methods on providing the best possible care for each animal. They pride themselves on keeping your cattle healthy for the best growth and profitability. Our feed crew works hard to load and mix the most precise rations for your cattle to get the best quality feed.
Our Veterinarian
We work hand in hand with our veterinarian to make sure we process and treat each animal in the best way possible to keep them healthy or get them back to health. We make sure each group that comes in get the appropriate vaccinations and implants based on their kind.
Our Nutritionist
The proper nutrition is key for performance and that is why we work with one of the best nutritionists out there. They work closely with our feed crew and managers to provide the best rations for each level of feeding. They monitor all our ingredients closely by taking monthly samples for quality control. Our modern technology for bunk reading, loading, and delivering feed provides our customers with accurate and complete records.
Our Records
Our customers receive the most complete and accurate records monthly or whenever needed. Cattle projections are completed for each pen to help our customers plan their marketing strategy. They receive monthly billing statements to inform them of their feed charges and overall pen health. The statement shows each customer how their pens are doing individually to monitor their performance and make decisions as necessary.
